James BEVAN said to be of Llanfechan, married, at Llanafanfawr Church on 7th February 1729 (1730), Eleanor PUGH (of Llanafan). His burial in April 1781 was at Llanafan Church, from Hendy. His children were baptised at Llanafanfawr; but the eldest, Charles, followed by his son Charles, appear to have inherited Hendy. The younger Charles (1760-1843) was buried, as was his wife Joan, at Llanfechan Church, as the headstones attest.
