My great uncle retired from the Army to Winterbourne and bought the local pub, bakery and shop. His name was George Robinson and his wife's name was Rose and the time around the 1st World War. Also his brother Frank who retired from the Police Force with his wife Sarah Ann living and working as a gardener outside Winterbourne. Would anyone know of these people? COOKE, Florence Maud
I am searching for a Florence Maud COOKE, who was born in winterbourne (we always assumed it was Gloucestshire that she was born in, but lately have been leaning towards Berkshire). She was b. about 1877 and went on to marry a Charles COLE b. about 1875 in Frampton Cotterell. They were married in 1899, registered Chipping Sodbury. Leads are far and few, any info would be helpful!
