Searching for links to the Percy family in 1871 census. Very complicated. There are name changes and the birth of a baby ! Mother calls herself Ann Parker ,the child Lilian. All the other Christian names and dates are accurate. Not a transcribing error. Looks like a cover up of the childs birth as the family lived in Devizes and London from pre 1800 to post 1900 and can accurately be tracked. Does anyone know of a Parker family that just might be linked ?

George died in Brightwell, Wallingford on 26 May 1897, he was married to Sarah Anne Wheatley who died in Camberwell, London, in May 1913. Any news of this would be very helpful as he was my great grandfather. Ken

Looking for Information on Henrietta HOBBS, b 1878 in Wallingford, Berkshire. She may have had one son out of wedlock, Arthur Edward Hobbs, b. August 1897. Would like to confirm this. She married James PARSONS in 1900 and moved to Londaon. Her parents were George HOBBS and Alice CHURCH and Arthur Edward is listed in 1901 and 1911 census as living with them as Grandson. Henrietta was a domestic servant before she married James Parsons.

Does anyone have any information about the Sellwoods? All I know so far is that there were at least 2 sons who were in the police force; Percy, who married Lilian Stallard in the early 1920s, and died fairly soon afterwards having been gassed in World War 1, and his older brother Albert who rose in the police ranks and married Muriel Appleyard (b 1923), probably in the 1940s, and had a son Ross who now lives in New Zealand. Any further info or background welcome.

Looking for details of my Chamberlain ancestors who were farmers and butchers in Wallingford, particularly Edgar Clarence (Eddie) b 1894 and his brother Hubert Lawrence (Lawrie), who apparently ran a butcher's shop in the town. They were sons of Thomas Allen Chamberlain (b1859) and Ellen Pryor, and grandsons of Sampson Chamberlain (b1835) and Mary Ann Allen (b1826). Any info/photos on the butcher's shop would be welcome.

I am looking for information on a Cope family from Wallingford, Berkshire. My ancestor John Cope was born in England in 1810, traveled to the U.S. about 1830 and settled in Keokuk, Iowa. I believe he may have been the son of John Cope and Lucy of Walllingford who had another son named Robert. My John Cope had a nephew named Robert John who also emigrated, settled in Keokuk, married John's daughter Margaret, and ended up in Los Angeles.
