Stanhope Family (Lord Chesterfield) connection
My father moved south from Durham in around 1926, when he would have been 16. He always told me he was emplyed as a kitchen boy on the estate of Lord Chesterfield near Biggleswade. However, I've been unable to trace a local connection to Lord Chesterfield (Stanhope family). Can anyone help me please? Many thanks for any assistance.
