Looking for origin of Ggg-grandfather JOHN REID (born about 1750) probably Ayrshire or Renfrewshire. Married JEAN KERR (dau of Robert & Margaret) of Ardrossan, Nov or Dec 1772. Lived in Kilwinning; had 9 children: Robert(married Moody), Thomas#1(died young), Margaret(married Ramsay? or Dunlop?), Elizabeth, Jean(married Lambie and moved to Canada), John(married Waddell), William(married McArthur), THOMAS#2 1790-1852(married AGNES WALKER 1789-1871), James(Paisley School Teacher, never married). My line comes from THOMAS and AGNES's son JAMES who moved to Nova Scotia, Canada. Anyone have relevant info? Linda
