The records from both Nazareth and St. Patrick's Industrial School (were he attended after Nazareth) are very poor however on the latter at the bottom of the page the following is jotted down 'Mother: Rose Ann Hannah, 104 Richard Street, Anderston, Glasgow'. That's it. I don't know if Rose tried to contact her son or what happened but I'd love to find out about her. If anyone knows anything, please contact me!

red mail William MULLIN - Seeking Cousins
Seeking any information at all from cousins or others concerning my great great grandfather William MULLIN (Civil Engineer) who was probably born about 1810 in Cork. He married a Mary nee PATTERSON about 1832/33 in Westmeath I believe. In 1834 a daughter Jane Matilda was born. According to family stories they then travelled to Belfast where their second daughter Maria was born about 1841. Legend tells me that William became very religious and became a Baptist Minister some time between 1841 and 1845 when the family went to Liverpool and their son John was born in 1846. About this time William died and the remaining family emigrated to Australia. Seeking any supporting information about this family, especially photos would be absolutely fantastic. I have been doing genealogy for about 35 years but have yet to some to grips with the Irish side of this family. Also some of the MULLIN first names used in my family have used 'HAMILTON' in a number of cases. Perhaps this may help identify which branch of the MULLINs my family fits into??

red mail Annie Matilda Gamble - Thorndale House
Does anyone have records for Annie Matilda Gamble? She was my grandfathers mother. She gave birth to my grandfather at Thorndale House Belfast in 1922. No fathers name is noted on his birth certificate and her profession is noted as house keeper. She was probably a young single mother who travelled to Thorndale House to give birth. Hence she probably went on to marry and possibly have more children. Any information or suggestions of where else to look - greatly appreciated.

red mail Stevenson, John and Mary
I am looking for relatives of my great grandfather, Stuart/Stewart Stevenson who sailed to New Zealand in 1864. His death certificate says that his father was John (labourer) and his mother was Mary. (No maiden name.) Stuart was born in Belfast. It is unclear whether Stuart was 70 or 75 when he died. His gravestone says 75, his death certificate says 70, therefore he was either 18 or 13 when he came to New Zealand. He may have lived in Donoughmore before emigrating. I would like to know if he had any siblings and if there are any of his relations (however far removed) still alive. As I live in New Zealand I am finding it difficult to obtain any records from Ireland.

My great grandparents, Catherine Kennedy and Arthur McGill, both born circa 1850, married in Belfast on the 29th of May 1869. They later moved to Glasgow in Scotland. red mail John Bucknell Cooper - Railway Manager
My great grandfather John Bucknell Cooper was working as Manager for the Belfast Central Railway which was taken over by the G.N.R.I in 1886, I found him mentioned in a book about the G.N.R.I by Edward M. Patterson. He and his family were living at 98 St Ann,Belfast in or arround 1907; (but, in the 1891 Census the family was in Felixstowe, and his youngest son Robert was born Antrim, Ireland approx.1882). What I wish to know is - did John Bucknell Cooper continue to Work for the G.N.R.I after the takeover of the Belfast Central; roughly when he left Belfast for Felixstowe, and how can I trace when he appears to have returned to Belfast? I believe he first came to Belfast arround 1880; as he isn't to be found on the 1881 Census.
