Look for Thomas Butter, of Eassie, Perthshire, Scotland - (Eassie - Angus)
Looking for any information re Thomas Butter from the Eassie area, his date of birth or death is unknown but his birth could have been either side of 1795> would be probable. In 1836, Thomas Butter fathered a son Alexander Butter. The birth, registered in Coupar Angus as being born 7 Dec 1836. The mother was Helen Gall of Eassie. Helen was an unmarried woman and the youngest sibling in her family; it appears she may have stayed single to look after her aging parents. Helen was aged fourty-one at Alexanders birth. In 1842, Helen and Alexander moved to Kirriemuir where Helen and Alexander worked and stayed out their respective lives. Thomas Butter was one of my third Great grandfathers. There appears to have been no marriage between Thomas and Helen Gall. There are records of Butter families living in the Eassie area at those times, research done several years ago (pre DNA) found that there were three Thomas Butter's in that general area with different birth dates. My own new Y-DNA search shows a marker in the Eassie area, when I do not know, the marker is private with no information or contact details. Any help appreciated, thank you. Erik
