Children: Margaret (1786), George (1787 - married Margaret CLARK 1822), Benjamin (1791 - married Margaret Milne 1832) and Lilias (1793 - married Cawfield WADE in 1837. red mail George Burns Webster
Seeking info about my grandfather. He was born (likely in the 1890s) and raised in Aberdeen. Later, he was superintendent of the Badlapore Tea Estate, Dimakuchi, Assam (between the 1920s - 1950s). He then left India to manage a coffee plantation in Kenya (during the 1950s). Finally, he retired in Scotland (Broughty Ferry, in the Dundee area) during the 1960s.
red mail McDonald/MacDonald/M'Donalds
Hi! Am a bit stuck with my Mc's in Aberdeen... My Gt-gt-grandfather was Alexander McDonald, who was born in Aberdeen about 1855. He married Mary McGregor in Brockley Hill, Kent (later became London) in 1877. They went back to Aberdeen and had 2 children, Alexander Leslie (1878) and Elizabeth before moving to London and having at least 5 more children. Alexander was a baker and we know that his father was George, a joiner. Alexander is shown as MacDonald on the 1881 census, McDonald on the 1891 & 1901, and M'Donald on his wedding cert. (Mary is shown as M'Gregor on the wedding cert.) Mary's father was James and on Mary's wedding cert, which is a bit difficult to read, it looks as though James was a Superintendant of Police. We have a couple of possible Alexanders, born around 1855 in Aberdeen, but as we know nothing about his mother, we're not sure where to look next. Any help, however, small, gratefully received! Thanks and regards from Germany, Karen.

red mail CROMBIE
My maternal grandmother was a Sarah Jane Crombie and she was born in Leek in 1869. Family legend had it that the family followed the Wesley Brothers down from Aberdeen and settled in Leek. I can trace the Leek records back to approximately 1790 but can find nothing before that. My own mother told me that previous efforts had been made to trace the family back to Aberdeen - but unfortunatley we only now have legend, which may or may not be true, to rely on. Does anyone have any stories which may match up with mine?

I am searching for information on Samuel and John Gill, children of Samuel Gill & Christina Wilson. Samuel was born 5 January 1858, and John was born 12 February 1864, both in Old Machar Aberdeen. Looking for for any connections or info to James MIDDLETON born c1790 in Aberdeen, married to Ann CRUICKSHANK born c1790 in Aberdeen. They married in St Nicholas, Aberdeen in August 1815. They had five children that I can find, Elspet born 1816, James born 1817,(died at early age), John born 1819, Ann born 1821 and James born 1831. Ann born 1821 was my ggg grandmother who married George MILNE in 1846 at Free John Knox Church, Aberdeen. (I have a great deal of info about the MILNE family). However I know virtually nothing about the MIDDLETON side, save that in 1846 James the father was a Baker. Did any of the other siblings marry? If so who to? Did they have children? Neither have I any info on the CRUICKSHANK side. Any help greatly appreciated

red mail Forrest, Murker, Duguid
According to parish records, George Duguid had a son, Patrick, who was christened at Tarves on 16 Dec 1736. Although not proven to be the same person, a Patrick Duguid had a daughter, Margaret Duguid, who was christened on 24 Mar 1771, at Old Meldrum. I believe she may have been the same Margaret Duguid who married Peter Murker on 27 Jun 1792, at Tarves. Their daughter, Margaret Murker (b.6 Jun 1793) m. Thomas Forrest (b.5 Jan 1790) at Belhelvie on 29 Nov 1817. Both were born at Tarves, as were their six children: Thomas (b.19 Sep 1818), Elspet (b.20 Jul 1821), Barbara (b.3 May 1823), Margaret (b.2 Sep 1825), Patrick (b.9 Jan 1829), and Hellen (b.28 Jun 1833). Thomas Forrest's daughter Margaret was my paternal g-grandmother. Her full name was Margaret Duguid Forrest. In 1835, when penning the births of his children in the family Bible, Thomas Sr. noted the family residence as "Lochtowne of Kithfield" (sic) which, I presume, was a neighborhood within Keithfield, Tarves. The 1841 Census enumerates him as an agricultural laborer. I would welcome contact from my cousins who share this ancestry.
