Hull, Joseph Bellard was a town crier, Lamplighter, Cordwainer, Shopkeeper, etc. !... many in Hessle Nr.Hull......In France, quite a lot there, .....some say that the name oiginates from France, in the 1600-1700s. when King Louis, the ??? Am looking for relatives of Rose Dickman born about 1905 in Ukraine (Russia) who emigrated to USA. Rose stayed in USA while her sisters Bertha & Sarah moved to Canada I believe. Her sister Bertha married George Edward Cecil ANSELL (born London, England). They lived in Canada, in Vancouver and later in Montreal. They came to England in 1961 where George died and she returned to Vancouver a little while after his death. I am George's nephew. Would love to share family history. Thanks Alexander.

green mail BERTA DONN or BERTHA DONN
I'm trying to trace a lost relative that emigrated to the USA in 1890/1900's. Ann(ie) Evans of Wales married William Jenkins before leaving Wales for the USA. It is not clear if this was with Mr Jenkins or not. We believe her daughter, by another marriage, to be Berta Donn, the Boradway star of the 1920/30's but it's unclear how she became a DONN. I'm guessing she was born around 1900 most likely in the USA may be New York. Thanks Huw
