red mail Pat Doddy ARdconnell BAllymote Co SLigo Ireland Europe
Pat and his daughter Maggie who was about 3 or 4 years at the time, emigrated from the above address in 1870? The family were known as THe Mill DOddy's, to distinguish them from a number of other Doddy families in the SOuth SLigo area. Pat's fathers name was Francis DOddy and he lived at the same address. PAt had 1 sister her name was Bridget she married PAt SCanlon The Miller who owned a corn mill in the village nearby of Bunninadden. The desendents of Pat Doddy visited the County Sligo and the ARdconnell area about 30 years ago, but failed to make contact with people who could give them information about the family. I would be grateful if they could make contact again. Padraig
red mail Powers,Strange,Anderson
I'm looking for a connection between these families. Strange Powers was a mariner and Loyalist in 1776. He had a wife Elizabeth (looking for her surname) and a son William Anderson (under 16). Who were their other children? Where did they come from? Eliz and William went to New York in 1780, possibly married Feyrer .
