red mail Thomas and Hannah Collinson (nee Codling) from UK
Found that Thomas and Hannah Collinson from Thornholme, East Yorkshire, UK, emigrated in 1830 with their two sons, Charles (b.1826) and Simeon (b.1828) accompanied by Thomas' younger brother, Simeon Collinson (b.1806 Thornholme). They first settled in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania until Hannah's death there in 1839. Thomas then remarried the same year in Luzerne County to Louisa Ursula Mathias and the family moved to Lynn Township, Knox County, Illinois. Interested to hear from anyone connected with these Collinson descendants, and have details of their parents and other siblings in the UK.
green mail THOMAS PHILLIPS
Interested in THOMAS PHILLIPS, b.1858 in Pembroke, Wales, who emigrated to USA some time after 1881. He went with his wife's two brothers. Not sure of their christian names but their surname was JONES. The three men were miners. We think they ended up in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. However at some point soon after they arrived THOMAS PHILLIPS died - perhaps in an accident. Would like information on his burial if possible.
