green mail Samuel Grant Herb b: 1895 in New Bethlehem, PA
My grandfather, Samuel Grant Herb, was born in New Bethlehem, PA. I couldn't find him on any census before 1930. There is one census (1900) that has the right names for his family, but the ages for the children aren't correct. I haven't been able to find anything out about him except that he served in the military during WWI. He married in 1920. He and his wife, Emily Richardson (born 1904 in Backworth, England), had ten children. Florence, Dorothy, Evelyn, Charlotte, Sanford, Mildred, Pearl, James, Daniel and Robert. Samuel's parents lived in Reinerton, Schuylkill, Pennsylvania. Their names were Daniel Grant Herb and Elizabeth Troup. Samuel had only one sibling, Amanda Lavinia. She married Charles Robert Colley and had two children, Charlotte and Margaret.
