Entries around
red mail Clark Family from Kent, England
Four brothers of my great grandfather emigrated to USA in 1867 and settled in Earlville, Iowa. Later they homesteaded in Albion. I've visited the Courthouse, saw the records and stood on some properties. John Clark was married to Fanny Stanger (also born in England). They and his brother Stephen and wife Edna Gould of Iowa, were founder members of the First Baptist Church which I see is still in fine shape. Later John and family joined the SDA and moved to Washington. Stephen and family moved to California, but their son William John Clark who had been born in Albion became a College President in Richmond VA. Any descendants who would like details of the family back to 1700 in exchange for info on the subsequent descentants' movements, please contact me. Stan . . . my mother was a Clark.
