green mail Lea, Moore
My Moore ancestors were, I believe, central to the foundation of Leasburg, MO. My 2xgreat grandaunt Ruth Moore married in 1852 Samuel Lea for whom the town was named, and her older brother James arrived in 1865 to become the first shoemaker in the village. They came from Spofforth in Yorkshire, England. They were later joined in 1880 by a niece, Ruth Ann Riley (later McClintock). I would be delighted to learn more about their era and their descendants in Leasburg.
