Hare or Rudkin (Stamford Lincs) Stamford
My paternal grandmother, Agnes Rudkin, was born Agnes Hare, parents Jane and John Hare. Jane was 29 on the 1881 Census, John aged 27. She was born in Barholm and after she was widdowed she married George Phippen (originally from Greenwich, Kent) who was signalman at Greatford Gate. Agnes married Frank Rudkin (born 1886, son of Levi Rudkin and Eliza Stainby). I have a photo of Jane and George outside the signalbox. I would like to know any information to pass onto dad (also named Frank), but particularly to get further back on Jane's family as dad always insisted his mother's family came from Leeds. The Rudkins appear to come from Empingham and the surrounding areas.
