red mail John & Mary Ann Reid Ramsey
The family of John & Mary Ann Reid from Ireland is given in the 1841 IOM census, having moved from Athlone Barracks (Ireland) some time after he was dischaged from the army as Sgt John Reed in 1838. Mary Ann was actually born in Australia, and their son Edward in India. The family does not appear in the 1851 census, but in 1861 are living in Tottington Lower End, Bury (Lancashire). I would like to share information about this family and their descendants.
