In 1873 he married sarah hannah collingwood, in Leeds, fathers name on cert.Dennis Gilligan b.Ireland . there is a slight poss.that dennis came from co.clare??

Good day.. I am looking for Bridget Ryan who married Simon Byrne ( Simon may be a middle name).Bridget was born in 1825. Simon born 1820 and moved with is family to Canada prior to 1833. He then emmigrated to the US in 1833.. Simon and Bridget were married and had 1 daughter,Mary born in 1850 in Illinios. They then moved to Dubuque, Iowa where the other children ( including Thomas byrne,Michael Byrne, William Joseph Byrne b 1865) and Esther) were born. William Joseph aand Michael moved with Simon to South Dakota around 1880-1885 when it is believed that Bridget died. Thomas appears to have settled in Missouri. Any information on this Byrne family is apppreciated. 11/18/2010 Update.. Simon Byrne from COunty Wicklow.. Father John Byrne, mother probably Bridget Doyle.. brother thomas. Both worked on the Rock Island Reail Road line in 1850. Simons first chiled was Margaret born 1855 in Illinois. Thomas married and settled in Iowa. Possible Uncle was Garret Byrne.

Tipperary) MARTIN had at least two sons with ELLEN O'BRIAN from Co.Clare in Surry Hills NSW Australia. Their first born was PHILLIP KENNEDY (1875 -1906), second born JAMES KENNEDY (1877 - ?) My grandfather, CYRIL THOMAS KENNEDY was born the day after his father died in in 1906 in Hawthron in Victoria Australia. Any information would be appreciated.

Looking for details of John Joseph Markham and wife Mary (Sullivan) Markham who farmed 13 acres at Toonagh Clooney above Quin, county clare. Had 5 sons Michael married Anne Macnamara in Ireland. Patrick (decd), Daniel, Patrick, Martin and girls Bridget, Anne and Mary. The 4 boys came to Australia as did Bridget in l850s and l860s. No marriage or death details on Bridget found in Australia yet, whilst Mary and Anne stayed in Ireland. Any details at all on this family in Ireland or the family in Australia appreciated. Note in Tithe appts. John Markham is spelt Marcum and he shared the allotment with Patt sullivan his father or brother in law. Many thanks.

Any information on Peter Mackie convicted of manslaughter in Co Clare on 28 February 1832. He was sentenced to life and transported to Australia on board the Eliza 6 which arrived in Sydney on 6 September 1832. He was pardoned in 1848 but on condition that he was never allowed to return to Ireland or the UK. He was a farm labourer in Co Clare and left behind a wife and son. Any help much appreciated.
