red mail Mayo - Yeovil
I am trying to trace ancestors by the name of Mayo in town of Yeovil, Somerset. I know one famous member of the Mayo family, John Ryall MAYO was elected the first mayor of Yeovil. Now I am trying to trace descendents who eventually took up residence in the Peckham area. A John Mayo (born in Yeovil) was a solicitor and came to live in the Peckham area and was married to Sophia Elizabeth Collett. After the death of John Mayo, the family moved to Thanet, Kent. The names pop up in the Nunhead Cemetery, I believe.
