red mail John Rolley / Tinner / Mining surveyor
Has anyone any information on JOHN ROLLEY 1743 - 1804. He is described as - 'a Cornishman' He was a tinner then a mining surveyor and ended up managing a mine for Lord Cawdor in Mydffai, Carmarthenshire. But it is his origins which are a mystery. There are many family connections with St. Agnes and a tin mine near there at Mithian and I wondered whether he came from that area ? Any help at all much appreciated
