red mail Cobb
My Grandfather was Surgeon Lt.Col. Robert Cobb of the Indian Medical service. Eldest of 5 brothers he was born in New Romney in 1852. The family can be traced back to Robert Cobb who moved to New Romney in about1700 the family grew with siblings / cousins in Lydd and then in Ivychurch where they lived untill the late 19th C. Would be interested to hear from anyone with connections to the Lydd and or Ivychurch lines.
