Researching the above, born 26/03/1907 in Glasgow, son of Robert Brown ( 1876 - 1956) & Elizabeth McCafferty (1881 - 1919 ). He emmigrated first to Canada ( Quebec ) in 1929, later in USA ( New York ) 1940 where he became a US Citizen, there is a strong possibility that he returned to the UK to the Liverpool area, married and died in the Aintree area, believed no children of this marriage. red mail Finding Thomas Wallace, Royal Infirmary
I am looking for details about my 4th great grandfather, Thomas Wallace. Born in Ireland, Donegal I believe, he was in a terrible accident in 1872. He had broken bones, fractured ribs just terrible death. I have found in the Glasgow Herald of 29 November 1872, an article recording thick fog covering the city. My Thomas's accident was during this time. A carter, delivering goods, was careless at his duties and appeared in court while my grandfather dies along with a young girl injured with the same injuries. Was my grandfather a carter too at the time or another victim of this said Carter? I need to check the Royal Infirmary records and death records on him or the girl which may tie him into this accident? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have traced my Wife's branch of the Mckenzie family from William b:1786(Dyke-Morayshire) m:Margaret Squair; through Alexander b:1815(Dyke) m:Charlotte Taylor(Forres); then Alexander b:1846(Forres) m:Elizabeth Baird(Glasgow); next, Alexander b:1875(Glasgow) m:Louisa Millie Taylor(London); and finally Alexander b:1905(Southampton) m:Marjory Prince(Southampton). The Alex born 1875 in Glasgow had three siblings who appear in the census of 1901, some of whom are believed to have survived into the late 1950's.
