Hello, I'm from Canada, I'm in search for my husband Yvon Dewar of the ancestors of Roderick Dewar been born on February 14, 1817 to Glenelg, Inverness, Scotland, his wife Mary Mccleod been born in 1825 to Glenelg who moved to Glengarry, Ontario, Canada by 1858 with their sons Norman Dewar which was 9 year old, born on February 3rd 1849 in Scotland Thank you very much !!!

John Sutherland Mcleod born 15.11.1849 in Lochalsh to parents Robert Mcleod (b. 7.1.1846 Strathy) , and Catherine Ferguson (b. 1849 Clackmannanshire) , last appears on the 1891 Census for Scotland aged 20 with his mother who was managing/owned(?) the Ruiag Balmacara Hotel, Localsh. He may have been a medical student, and it is possible he went to Australia and died in 1959. His grandparents were John Mcleod and Margaret Sutherland, and Great grandparents were John Sutherland and Catherine Murray. Does anyone have any information about John and/or his family? Thank you. Looking for help with family of Duncan CAMERON. Found census info which shows he worked for the Manse of Lochalsh as a farmer. Another census states his place of birth as New Glebe. He had a brother, Roderick CAMERON and father John CAMERON (Listed as a fisherman). Is the Manse of Lochalsh still in existence? Is there a New Glebe? Any help finding geographical locations for these pieces of information will be greatly appreciated.

Looking for information on Samuel Upton born about 1836 whereabouts of his birth is unknown but he turned up somehow in Tasmania, Australia in the early 1850's. He married Catherine Wishart from Scotland, at Campbell Town Tasmania in 1856. Their children were named, Mary, Jane, Samuel, Elizabeth, Robert, Mary Ann, James Walter, Catherine,Alfred, George Henry and John William. maybe these names ring a bell. He is a very big mystery to the family.

I am Looking for any information on Donald stewart who was married to Mary Stewart. I think the family may have came from Stornaway.they married on 21/04/1892. they had eight children, katey, Annie, Alex, James , Sammy,William,Angus,and James who was my grandfather. James married Jessie Williamson and they eventually settled in Evanton. Any info would be welcome.Donald was born around 1868.
