Looking for information : Thomas Goodwin (son of Edward Goodwin and Mary Goodwin) was born 14 Jun 1778 in St Pardarns Llanbadarn Fawr, Radnorshire, Wales, and died May 1845 in Llanbadarn Fawr. He married (1) Martha Gittoes on 11 Jun 1809 in St Pardarns Llandbadarn Fawr, Radnorshire, Wales. He married (2) Mary Nicholls on 23 Nov 1823 in St Davids Llanddewi, Ystradenny, Radnorshire, Wales.
red mail Goodwin, Evans, Chelton Families in Llanbadarn Fawr
Looking for anyone who recognizes these families from my tree. MARY GOODWIN b. ca. 1772 m. EVAN EVANS from Llandegla or Llandegley Parish on 10 January 1792 MARY EVANS Christened 16 December 1792 at St. Padarn's m. JOHN CHELTON (who was baptized at the Rock Chapel in Llanbadarn Fawr) They were married in St Padarn's church on 11 May 1809. JOHN and MARY CHELTON had 9 children. Mary died around 1939 (according to family lore) and would probably be buried in Llanbadarn Fawr. John emigrated with the younger children to join their two older sons, John and Thomas, who had left earlier and settled in Pennsylvania. Although I haven't been able to locate the name Chelton in the area, I would love to know if I have any Evans or Goodwin cousins still in the area. I would certainly rather be doing this search in person...but the trip from Arizona is a long one. I'm sending mega hugs to anyone in the area who might help me in my search for my roots in Wales :) Thanks so much...Ann
red mail DAVIES
In the 1881 census EDWIN and ELIZABETH DAVIES are shown as married with 4 children - Elenor Davies born about 1873, Jane Ann Davies born about 1875, Henry John Davies born about 1878 (this is my grandfather who married Emily agnes Lewis of Penybont Radnorshire), James Edwin born about 1879 and Albert George about one month of age. When the census was taken Edwin and Elizabeth DAVIES were listed as living at Dukes Street Eardisley. I am living in Australia and I am interested in gaining more information about any of these people especially in tracing Elizabeth Davies' maiden name. Thankyou.
red mail Looking for Drew, Evans, Breeze, Davies
All in or around the Llanbadarn area. In my tree I have Richard Breeze born 1832, married 1862 to Elinor Davies (1845) the Davies family (William & Anne) farmed at Little Wern, Bettws Disserth from the 1850's until Richard & Elinor took over in the 1870's & 80's. They then moved to Mount Pleasant, Cefnllys in the 1890's to run a lodging house. Also looking for Adaliza Evans born 1845 to Edward Evans & Ann Jones, she then married Evan Drew born 1840 & had Mildred Adaliza Drew in 1882. Mildred then married Arthur Richard Breeze, son of Richard & Elinor. If anyone is related then it would be great to hear from you.
