CONALTY family, Clonmel
I'm looking for any information about the CONALTY family who lived in Cashel Street in the 1890s and at 21 William Street in 1901. James John Conalty was a Constable in the Royal Irish Constabulary and died in 1895 age 38. His wife was Johanna Fennessey who was born in Cahir c. 1867 and their children (all born in Cappamore, Co Limerick) were Margaret Ann born 1889, James Joseph born 14/11/1891 and Mary Ellen born 6/2/1894. Johanna and her children moved to England sometime between 1901 and 1911.

Hartnett - Legg from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
John Hartnett married Frances (Fanny) Legg in Clonmel, Tipperary, Ireland. Two of their sons, Richard(24) and William(19) sailed to Melbourne, Australia, in 1841, on the ship Columbine. A third son, John(18) followed four years later in 1845, when he was 18 years old, on the ship Herald. Their parents had both died before Richard and William sailed to Australia in 1841. John Hartnett married Jane Lamey, (born in 1836), on 22 March 1856, in Moree, NSW, Australia. Jane's parents were William Lamey, born about 1810 and Bertha, born about 1814. I am interested to learn any family history details, in particular, about the parents of John Hartnett (senior) & Frances (Fanny) Legg and the parents of William & Bertha Lamey, who married in 1835.

red mail Keating/e family St. Marys Clonmel
Am researching the Keating/e family from St Mary's Parish, Clonmel. In particular, William Nathaniel Keating who married Elizabeth Hawkshaw at St. Marys 1852. They had three children, William Hawkshaw, Sarah and Henry. All three children eventually went to Liverpool/Manchester. Elizabeth is living with Sarah and her husband and grandson in 1890 but no sign of William Nathaniel Keating/e. On Elizabeth's death Cert she is the Widow of William Keatinge - Shop keeper. I doubt William Nathaniel made it to the UK?? In 1890, when Henry married in Liverpool, he is deceased on Henry's marriage cert. If anyone is researching Keating/e family would love to hear if you have these people in your tree. Thanks. Barbara

red mail John Joseph Burke (born c.1873) CLONMEL-Tipperary-Ireland
I am trying to find any information I can on the parentage and early life of my grandfather J J Burke. All I have is extracted from the 1911 UK census which tells that he was born in CLONMEL and by 1911 was married to Ada Maria Britton, was aged 38 and living in Fulham - London. The census tells that at that time he had 4 children, Winifred,Kathleen,Albert and Gladys. I believe he was at some stage an army guardsman as I can recall my mother (another of his children born 1913) telling me that he wore a bearskin(busby). Any help at all would be much appreciated. Thank You.

red mail James H Lonergan. Mayor of Clonmel 1893
I am looking for information on a maternal ancestor - James H Lonergan who was mayor of Clonmel in 1893 and 1894. The 'H' may have stood for 'Hill'. I have learned from commercial directories that he was an alderman as early as 1889, and may have been a butcher in the Shambles area of the town.
