red mail Marjorie Noyes (Varcoe)
Hi everyone I am posting here because I've met a dead-end in my research. A few years ago I found out that my great grandfather (Harry Hedley Knotwell Varcoe) had an affair with a live-in servant Elsie Mabel Noyes, and they had a child together in 1925. I have found the birth certificate with both their names on, with the child listed as marjorie, but no other information. I know she was born before the adoption system became regulated, so could have had her name changed without any paper trail. I don't know where to begin but would appreciate any help from anyone who either recognises these names (they all lived in Bristol) or can recommend what I should do next. thank you!

Daniel Whiting
I am interested to find out more about Daniel Whiting (born 1823 in Bristol). His parents were Daniel Whiting (born 1794) and Elizabeth Brown (1803-1877). I would like to find out the parents of Daniel Whiting senior. He was born in Brighton - but I think his family came from Bristol.
