FRASER
James Fraser was born in Avoch, Ross and Cromarty in 1877. He is my 3rd Great Grandfather. In 1816 he left Scotland aboard the Prince of Wales sailing ship for passage to Hudson's Bay as an employee of the Hudson Bay Company. He worked in the fur trade eventually settling in the Red River settlement - what is now Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He became a prominent citizen in the area. I'd be pleased to share what I know of his descendants. I hope that I may find out something of his ancestors.
