COATE and variants  Oct 2004 (40786)
I am researching the COATE family from Piddlehinton, Hilton and Cerne areas. So far research has taken me back to WILLIAM COATE from Cheslebourne. He married SUSANNAH WATTS in 1774 at Hilton. The surname is spread throughout the county, so anyone with COATE family members is invited to get in touch. I am happy to share what researches I have in regard to this and related surnames. Thank you! Tracy

Legg - Dorset   (19515)
John LEGG born 1827 in Sturminster Marshall married Georgina/Georgeanna REVEL (born East Creech 1830). I am trying to find out where they were married in Dorset about 1852. They then moved to Yeovil where they had a grocery business for many years. They also had 10 children - John W., Mary, Joseph, Robert, Frederick, Edwin, Wesley Thomas (my grandfather), Walter and Francis. I have a large family tree of the LEGG family going back to Joseph LEGG of Milton Abbas 1683 and I would be interestedto hear from anyone who is researching this family.
