SEMMENS/GREEN (85118)
Can you help solve a mystery? Edith Mildred SEMMENS was born in Travarrack, Gulval, Cornwall in 1888. Her parents were Richard SEMMENS and Mary Jane, nee WARREN. Edith married John Curnow GREEN in 1907, Gulval. Two known daughters followed. Mary Lilian in 1912 Gulval and Daisy in 1915, Colchester, Essex. I have been told there may be two more children named Jack and Winifred whose birthdates are unknown but Winifred is said to have married Harold Hurley. From what I have found and been told Edith did not raise any of her children which is borne out by Daisy who was certainly raised by foster parents. If there are any descendants out there who can throw light on this family I would be delighted to hear from you. Heather.
Pearce-Gulval (54125)

Semmens family abroad? (50754)
We have Semmens in our family Tree. However we can trace them back no further than 1830 in South Australia. Family tradition believes the family came from Cornwall. All I can say is John Semmens married Mary Anne Nixon and they had ten children after a marriage in Mclaren Vale, South Australia. Any Semmens know of a John Semmens who went to Australia back then???
NICHOLAS WILLIAM BARNICOAT (45717)
Nicholas William Barnicoat born 1st December, 1839 married Elizabeth Emma Baker, 14th August 1858 they then moved to Truro. Any fellow researchers?
