Looking for information on this family as Ellen was my 3xs great grandmother and nothing is known about her and her family , would love to know more this is all that i know of her that she married a farmer by the name of William Hartley .They had 2 daughters that is known Mary Hartley and her sister Clara. Mary later became Mary Hartley Dawson she married a Simon,Stephen.Samson,Samuel something like that but unsure. Any help to open another door will be very much appreciated.

The above was born at High Melton near Doncaster in 1896. He would be the right age for service in the first World War. His grandparents, Reuben and Elizabeth BRAMBLE lived in Doncaster. Can any person tell me anything about George? Did he have any brothers or sisters etc. Your help will be gratefully received.

At age 24, William E. m. Elizabeth Peters, 13 Aug 1831, Saint Olave, York. In 1840 William E. emigrated thru Phila. to Cincinnati, OH, USA. Is he the son of James Smith & Rose Hunter, c 16 Sep 1806 in Keighly? In Cincinnati, William E. m. Mary Ann Varley Wright Bowen, b. 5 Nov 1809 in Tadcaster, dau. of Samuel Varley and Milcah Speck, she dau. of Thomas Speck of Reighton. Mary Ann m. Mr. Wright, but he died early; so she emigrated with dau. Adelaide Wright, 1 year old, from GB to Phila. on Brig Royal William on 9/16/1831; and on to Cincinnati. Is William E. Smith related to my 4th G. Grandfather Henry Hall Smith, Grocer & Quaker, b. 17 Sep 1794, Doncaster. Is he son of William Smith b. 1766 Doncaster and Martha Ecroyd b. 1770 and m.. 1790 in Doncaster? Do these Smiths have a common ancestor?

Looking for information on the Flynn family late 1800s and early 1900s Father John Flynn Mother Martha Jane (Lindsay) Flynn. They had 13 children the oldest Arthur died in a mining accident early 1900s. Sarah Flynn born March 3 1910 is the second youngest. Any information appreciated.

Padcroft Boys Home Yiewsley Middlesex ran from 1902 to 1949 and some 8,000 boys passed through its doors. For many years boys were sent to work at collieries around the South Yorkshire area and in particular, Silverwood colliery. University researcher would appreciate any information on the 'boys' or their families as many remained in the area
