Paper Makers Tisbury
Please is there anyone with access to the Tilsbury P.Rs' or about I mile in proximity who would be able to tell me if there was any mention of paper makers in the area. I am looking specifically for an EDWARD GREEN. I have no idea where in the country he originated, but found him in Northumberland (paper mill) bet. 1772 -1778. Then in Shropshire between 1780 - 1797 when he died. Paper makers travelled the country in their trade going from one mill to another and I know that Wiltshire was an important seat of early paper Mills. So that and the fact that I have just come across the birth of an EDWARD GREEN in 1742, (would be about the correct age) in Tisbury Wiltshire, I am hoping that this might be just the man. Any help most appreciated. Thank you.
red mail Jane Pinnock after 1901 - Nottingham Fisherton de la Mere
I am interested in any information concerning Jane Pinnock, born 1864 in Donhead St Andrew, who was the Deputy Head Nurse at the (Fisherton Asylum?) in 1901, according to the census for that year. She was misidentified on the 1911 Census and had relocated to Nottingham where she was employed at the Coppice Hospital. She died there in December 1921. Unfortunately staff records for the period no longer exist so I would greatly appreciate any information, notes, anecdotes, &c that you think might be of use to me in compiling my family history. Many thanks.
