Smalls in Canterbury (113783)
Would welcome any information about the Smalls who came to Canterbury in the 1500s. I believe they were Huguenots, originally bearing the name of Petite/ Petit. Have some evidence of them in 1607 connected with Holy Cross church; by the 18oos were in the town as plumbers, inn keepers, booksellers and later as teachers and musicians.

Hogsflesh/Stringer Family in Kent (30086)
Looking for information about the Hogsflesh Family in Kent, found some in Canterbury back in 1600s - 1700s. Thomas Hogsflesh married Jane Stringer of Stringer Hall, Kent (maybe Estate). They had a son Charles Richard Hogsflesh (maybe Richard Charles)born 1787, Kent. Details as follows: Profession draper. Transported to Australia as a convict on 'Baring' in 1814 serving 7yrs for crime unknown. Age 27; height 5ft8ins; complexion fair; hair dark brown; eyes hazel; Charles Richard had a sister who married a man named Cook. Any information would be appreciated.
