William and Esther Alcock of Kinsale mid-1800s  Revised 20Dec 2009 (127677)
Looking for information about William Alcock who married Esther Driscoll in Kinsale, Ireland about 1860. Esther was b. 1836, daughter of Jeremiah Driscoll and Margaret Donovan of Scilly; she had a sister Norry b. 1839. William and Esther had children: Jane b. 1864, Honora b. 1866, Margaret b. 1868, Mary b. 1869, William b. 1876 and Jeremiah b. 1877 (and two others, names unknown). Jane married Denis Fives in Kinsale, had children William and Nora, and came to New York with her sister Mary on the Brittanic in 1888. Her mother and other siblings joined her about the same time. They had a cousin Richard already in New York, who owned a laundry. The Alcocks became telegraphers.

I'm trying to find any information of the Knolles family, mainly Alfred Sterling Knolles whose daughter, Edith louisa Knolles born India, 1876 married Edward Cuthbert Allen, a Somerset born Judge in India. Thanking you, Marie, Ashburton, New Zealand.
