red mail Patrick Joseph Lonergan, Stationer, of Dubliln
Patrick Joseph Lonergan was born in or about 1828, but where? in Dublin or Tipperary or elsewhere? On the birth cert. of his son Joseph Mark in 1865, in Dublin, he is described as a stationer, at 4, Normanton Terrace, Sandymount. He is also a stationer on his death cert. in 1890. We know he had at different times shops, including The Olde Toll House near the Phoenix Park in Dublin, which the family continued to run after his death. His sons were Joseph Mark, Patrick John, John George, George, Christopher Frederick, Mark Anthony, and his daughters were Mary, Anne, Elizabeth (Lily), and Imelda. His wife was Caroline Fricker.

red mail James Moylan from Tipperary to Cincinnati Ohio
I am wondering if anyone out there may have a connection to a certain James Moylan who must be a Moylan relative to myself as he is resting in my Fanning family plot in Cincinnati, Ohio. The burial record for James Moylan indicates he was at the time of his death which was around June 21, 1870 as being 22 years old which would give an approximate birth year of 1848, give or take a year. His place of death being 105 East 3rd Avenue in Cincinnati. The parents of James Moylan being a certain John and Sarah Moylan. My great, great grandmother is Margaret Moylan who was married to Bartholomew Fanning. Since James Moylan is resting in our family plot, I figure that James is a either brother, cousin or nephew to my great, great grandmother. The death record indicates James was born in Tipperary. Another interesting tidbit is that the 1867 Cincinnati Directory indicates James as working at my Fanning family's grocery store in Cincinnati. Still trying to discover an actual village in County Tipperary where James Moylan originated. Wherever he is found, I am certain my great, great grandmother Margaret Moylan cannot be far behind.
