My great grandmother Johanna Hannigan was born in County Tipperary in 1845. She died in Canada, in Victoria BC, in 1917. I have no information as to when she emmigrated, whether she left with her parents as a child, or whether she left alone as a young woman. I would appreciate any information regarding the Hannigan family in Tipperary at that time. I do realize of course that she was born at the start of the famine, and I don't know what records, if any, were kept of the poorer families.
