I am searching for a very illusive ancestor who may have come from Ireland. Known as Esther - but maybe Eleanor- BROOKS. Born about 1836, mothers name may have been Catherine - she named her daughter Catherine so this maybe true. I have an Esther on the 1861 census as an Irish lodger in Manchester aged 19, then she turns up in Dunedin New Zealand in 1862. She marries a William Arthur COLMAN in 1863, unfortunately the wedding certificate gives no history. 2 boys are born and then they migrate to Melbourne Australia in1868 where 2 more children are born. Esther is difficult find as with every child born she got younger !! her birth date could be from 1842 - 1836. LIMERICK and TIPPERARY pop up now but no firm connection Help would be very welcome
