James Hodgen
Seeking information about James Hodgen and his family. James was born in County Monaghan in December 1862. I believe his father was Joseph and his mother was Jane Eliza. His mother is listed in the 1901 Census at Brackly, Carrickatee Monaghan. James migrated to Australia in1886 arriving in Sydney in June aboard the SS ENERGIA and he lived most of his life in the Sydney suburb of Rockdale. He named his home in Rockdale "Brackly" which tends to confirm the locality of his origin. James worked for the post office in Sydney. He had six children and died in 1941. Thank you for any help.
