red mail Longford Families 1800s
Believe my ancestor Martin Shannon was born in Longford, December 1804. Parents possibly Patrick Shannon and Mary Dungannon. Siblings James 1809 and Patrick 1812. Other siblings may have been John, Thomas, Mary Anne.Martin I believe married Mary Conry in 1826 and had a daughter Mary Shannon 1827. Mary Conry's parents were Michael Conry and Elizabeth Hanly. Patrick's parents may have been Thomas Shannon and Mary Hayes possibly married in Limerick. We show dna links with families Farrell, Quinn, Costello, Ryan. May have had close relatives in both Dublin and Roscommon. Also, dna with South American families and believe many Longford Irish went to SA. Appreciate any assistance from Irish Shannons from this area.
