red mail Elizabeth Ellen Wyton
Elizabeth was my husband's aunt, he didnt know anything about her until I started tracing the family history, and we discovered that the younger brother, William Henry, was a home child. At the time that he was taken from his family home and put in the Middlemore Homes, in Birmingham, Elizabeth was also removed, she spent a night in a girls night shelter in tennant Street, Birmingham, before being moved to a Girls home in Worcestershire, but we don't know which one, and the experts haven't had much luck tracing her either. The next time we see Elizabeth is the marriage record at St. Olave's London in 1930, marrying Sydney Bates. They had one child, as far as I know, Doreen who married Frederick Soles. Can any of you fellow sleuths track down the home Elizabeth was in, and get some idea of how long she was there, I am trying to find out what happened between then and her going to London, the rest, I can probably follow up on.....thank you for your help.

red mail John WOOD b1817
John Wood was born in abt 1817 in Worcesteshire. He married an Esther who was born in about 1825 in Eastbourne, Sussex. They later moved to Paddington London. They had 7 children the first being born in 1848 in Dover, Kent. I can't find a marriage record but am presuming it would have been abt 1847 possibly in Dover. If any one can help me find Esther's maiden name or parents for her or John Wood I would be very greatful. Many thanks.
