red mail Walter Davies 1834 Llansamlet, Glamorgan had a sister Ann in Monmouthshire 1852.
Hello, Walter Davies was born in 1834 in Llansamlet, Glamorgan if what he says in the 1871 census was true. In that census he lives Trevethin, Monmouthshire, with his nephew Daniel Williams born 1871 Pontypridd and his wife and children. Daniels mother is almost certainly Ann Davies whos married to a Walter Williams. A Daniel Lishion Williams was registered 1871 mother Davies in Pontypool and Ann turns up with that family in some censuses. Her own census records say Ann Davies was born in 1852 in Victoria/Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire. Im mostly seeking information on who the parents of Walter Davies 1834 Llansamlet and his sister or half sister Ann Davies 1852 Victoria/Ebbw Vale are. A Walter Davies was christened non conformist in Llansamlet in 1834 to mother Williams but there are no civil registrations for Ann Davies 1852 with mother Williams (so unless they are half siblings and its not the same mother...). Ann Davies 1852 who marries with Walter Williams gives almost all her children the middle name Leyshon- Daniel Leyshon Williams (civil registration as Lishion but he himself had it as Leyshon in all later records) 18711948 Leyshon Davies Williams 18751938 Aaron Williams 18781919 John Emlyn Leyshon Williams 18811942 Maggie E Williams 1884 Blodwen Williams 1887 Mary Leyshon Williams 1890 Moyydd Williams 1891 Gladys Leyshon Williams 1891 Leyshon Elsie Williams 1897 Leyshon Gomer Williams 18971919 Please help with this thank you!

red mail 1851 Census entry
It would seem that John Maguire and his wife Ellenor were travelling from Ireland to Southwark in Surrey when they stopped off in Monmouthshire to have a baby, also Ellenor. She can be found easily in the UK 1851 census using: Ellenor Maguire, born 1830 Caversham, Monmouthshire, Wales I am hoping someone with local knowledge can offer a better idea on her place of birth. Kevin.

Margaret E Lewis had an illegitimate daughter named Connie - perhaps Constance. Margaret later married Alfred Ernest Warfield in 1930 and they had a son, Bertram. Constance married William (Bill) and it is thought that they may have run a pub - possibly in the Port Talbot district. Can anyone help please?
