John emigrated to Australia with his wife and 5 children in 1848 however his wife at that time was Ann Briggs. No record of Kate Duiett/Briggs in Australia. She probably died pre 1835 as John Briggs moved to Northamptonshire where son John was born - Ann believed to be his mother. Any help with the Duietts would be appreciated - very little info anywhere

red mail Herrick family
Henry Herrick arrived in Mass. June 29, 1629 and married Editha Laskin. Presumably he had studied at Cambridge before departing and was son of Sir William Herrick. There is also reference to a Henry Herrick in old Commonwealth of Virginia records, but the signature does not appear to reflect a studious nature. By now, there is some debate as to where the Henry, son of William settled in USA, and some suspect Oxford's Bodleian library archives of Herrick papers might eventually reveal where Henry settled. Any clues? perhaps very old correspondence clarifying the issue?
