red mail Goldsmith/Hooper
Seeking futher information on these distant relatives: Charles Goldsmith born c1821 - son of Charles Goldsmith. Elder Charles born abt 1796 and other children include David, Susannah, Robert, George & William. Elder Charles' wife was also Susannah. Charlotte Hooper born c.1821, daughter of William Hooper. Their marriage took place on 19/6/1843 at the Parish Church in the united parishes of Christ Church & St Leonard foster. Both are 'of full age' so I'm guessing they're both 21. At the time, Charles was working as a blacksmith, living at 17 Bowling Street and his father's profession was a clockwinder. Charlotte is not detailed as having employment, living at 14 Copenhagen Street, and her father, William, was a plasterer. Witnesses to the marriage were Robert Wilcox and Susanna Goldsmith. I'm related via Charles & Charlottes daugher, Eleanor. If anyone can help out at all here, I'd be really grateful.

red mail Alford/Haswell
I have a marriage certificate for ancestors whom I'm trying to find more out about. Marriage 4th June 1843 at the Parish Church in the Parish of Bride (presumably St.Brides) in London. Groom: Thomas Haswell 'of full age' a fancy-trimmer. Resident of 3 Gunpowder Alley. Father Thomas Haswell, a rope-mat maker. Bride: Charlotte Alford 'of full age'. No details in address column - same as Thomas'? Father is Joseph Alford, a music master. Witnesses to marriage are Joseph Perkins Alford (same as father or a brother?) and Sarah Alford (sister or mother?) Any further information gratefully received. I have information forward from this document, but not backwards.... (And I'm also curious to know where Gunpowder Alley was)
