red mail Edward BLUNDY/ BLANDY m Amelia ADAMS in 1834, Lambeth
Seeking any info on Edward BLUNDY or BLANDY, m Amelia ADAMS (b 1807 Leckhampstead, Berks.) on 2/2/1834 at Lambeth, St. Mary's, Surrey/ London. They had John chr 20/3/1836 Lambeth, St. John the Evangelist, when they lived in Bond St. (Lambeth?). On the 1841 census, John BLANDY, b 1836 London, Middx., was with his maternal ADAMS gdparents in Leckhampstead, and they brought him up. He became a blacksmith, the ADAMS family trade, as did subsequent BLUNDY gens. The ADAMS family had lived in Leckhampstead for several generations. I don't know what happened to Edward & Amelia BLUNDY. An Edward B was chr 1801 in Holme-by-Newark, Notts, & m an Eliza b abt 1797 Montgenythe, Wales. They had dau Eliza b abt 1840 Lambeth and gddau Emily J HUNT b abt 1853 City Fish St Hill. (Could Amelia BLUNDY have died, John been sent to live with his gdparents, and Edward remarried?). That Edward appears to have d in the workhouse in Notts. in his 70s. Please can anyone with access to records in these areas help me find my Edward BLUNDY/ BLANDY, estimated b early 1800s, eg on the 1841 or 1851 censuses (difficult without addresses, I know), PRs, etc., or Amelia BLUNDY's death/ burial? Many thanks.
