Phillip Lawton BRIDGES
Phillip Lawton BRIDGES was a conman and is a stonewall in my tree that I have been trying to break down for 20 years! He was born in 1856 in the St George East register district and emigrated to Australia in 1877 where he moved around the states and got into seriously trouble with the law.He was definitely in South Australia in 1900 as he was incarcerated for 2 months there. After that his trail goes cold, although family rumours have him turning up in Western Australia after that.If any member can find his death record or that of his long suffering wife,Mary BUSHBY,born 1864,Lancing,Sussex,England,then I would be more than grateful.

James Neal
James is my brick wall. We do not know his date of birth or parents names. He was at sea by 1857. Dates from discharge papers held place his birth as the early part of 1840 at London. However, these details were not consistent. By 1864 he had settled in New Zealand. He made at least one trip back to London. We have photos we can date to the early 1870s taken Mile End Road/ Commercial Road area. One shows James with his parents and what looks to be an unmarried sister of similar age to James. Another shows a very fashionable younger lady (sister?). Any straws as to how to establish his identity gratefully grasped.

ROYAL GREEN JACKETS TERRITORIAL BAND
My dad, Allan Meekins, and his brother Vic Meekins, were territorial soldiers in the Royal Green Jackets Band during the mid 1960's. Every week they had band practice at Somerset House in The Strand, where their musical director was someone with the surname 'Chudley'.. I know very little about my dad's time with the Green Jackets and wondered if somebody could help me find out more about this band
