red mail In search of the Gaston family
I am in search of the Gaston family fled from France into Scotland and Ireland. Jean Gaston born around 1600 in France, fled into Scotland around 1640's married Agnes? and had 3 sons, William born 1642-45 married Elspet Chrichton, John Gaston born 1645-1648 married Esther Naugh,McNaughton,Naughton, Alexander born 1648-1650 married Margaret Glasse. There were said to be other children, but this is all we have ever been told. Said that Gaston was of royalty (supposedly related to Henri IV) and his wife Agnes was arrested 1650-1651 and was either killed or died. States that Jean(John) was upset over wife's death he moved into Ireland and there he died between 1660-1670. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
