red mail BRIGHT
Seeking family information on the following BRIGHT family members, possibly of Cumberland County, who all arrived in Philadelphia, USA in 1830, and lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and California: William BRIGHT, b. abt. 1805; his wife Hannah b. abt. 1807; William BRIGHT b. 1826; Mary Ann BRIGHT b. 1825; Mary BRIGHT b. 1825; and Thomas BRIGHT b. 1828. Thomas Bright died in New Jersey, and the local county history book states that he was the fifth (Thomas Bright) to bear that name in consecutive generations, and that each Thomas Bright has been the fourth son of his parents. It also states that Thomas gr-grandfather was a brother to politician, John Bright, of Greebank near Rochdale, in Lancashire, but I have not been able to confirm this. Have information on their families in the United States that I am willing to share.

red mail Cumbrian Bushby/Bushbie
I have traced my Bushby family back to the mid 1400's - however, they are from Sussex and I have never been able to connect them to the Cumbrian branch. There are Wills and Deeds dating back to 1570's for the Cumbrian Bushbys. I would love to get in touch with other Bushby researchers from Cumbria and try to narrow the North - South divide...!!!
