red mail Black a moor
My great grandfather was the landlord of the Black a Moor Wigton at the turn of the 20th century . His name was Edward Lockhart. His wife was a Mary Jane Barton. Unfortunately Mary Jane died while they had the pub.I reckon he ended up with one of the bar staff .Annie Scott born Wigton who was considerably younger than him ,on the 1911 census they had moved to Toxteth and she had had my Grandmother who was born with polio. My nan Mary Lockhart Scott ended up in homes and hospitals .Annie had 2 more children George Edward and Elpeth both now passed..I am trying to find where Annie came from or where she ended up. Edward Lockhart died in 1942 in Liverpool.Annie must have been born Wigton app 1886.. Cheers Dave

I was wanting information on my wife's 3 x Great-grandparents John Howe born 1791 in Wigton. Also his wife Mary Richardson born in Sebergham 1791 they were married in Sebergham on the 28/5/1814. I know he was a Watch and Clockmaker and had a place of work at Barwise Row, Wigton in 1828 and by 1848 West Street, Wigton. They had 7 children Stephen 1815, Ann 1817, John 1819, Arrabella 1821, Richardson 1822, William 1824 and Joseph 1826. Any information pre 1814 would be a great help. John

red mail Great-great grandparents
I am hoping to find any record of Thomas Twentyman (b. abt 1797) who married Dinah Chambers (b. 22 Feb 1805). They lived in Wigton, had several children then moved to Truxton, Cortland Co., N.Y., USA. In Truxton their son Joseph married Blendena Taylor and the family tree sprouted my branch. I believe there were quite a few Twentyman families and I am hoping I've not mixed up my group with another. Their wedding may have been 22 Jan 1825.
