I'm related to the Batemans of Westerham. The family is still extant today. I have recently obtained the war diary of William Court Finnis Aedy who served on HMS Craufurd 1916 - 1918. The Court Finnis Aedys were from the same part of Surrey/Kent. Benjamin Bateman, born and died in Westerham (1787-1839) is my fourth great grand uncle. Our common ancestor is Ann Monk.

Researching Whitmore in Westerham and Edenbridge, Kent, and Maidenhead Berks. Whitmore had a leather selling business in Maidenhead High Street from 1826 to 1911. Believed that John Arthur Whitmore emmigrated to the Dominions in about 1911 but cannot find him on a passenger list. Would be grateful for any information.

red mail WEBB in Westerham
My G-Grandmother was ELIZABETH JEMIMA WEBB, who was recorded in a census as born in Westerham around 1840. She married JOSEPH GARSIDE TERRY on 4 Dec 1861, and she died 10 Apr 1904 in Ashford. Am seeking to know more about her WEBB family, ancestors, siblings, etc. I believe I have 2 photos of her, but am not sure and wish to confirm.
