My granfather was born in West Derby in 1886. His father was John Latham Carr, who was born in 1857 in Gateshead. He married Emma White in 1879 in West Derby. I am searching for his date and place of death, which I am presuming to have been in West Derby, some time after1901, when his last child was born. Can anyone assist?

Researching my grandfather, Frank Anderson, who was a member of a circus family called Henderson, he changed his name to Anderson, and with his brother Sam had a clowning act at Henglers Circus in Kensington. He became a solo act as 'Handy Andy' for many years working for circus in America and UK. Any information on Henglers Circus in Liverpool would be great.

I am looking for any information on the Reickens family living in the West Derby/Kirkdale area from the mid 1860s until about 1911. My great great grandfather was a John Reickens born in c. 1831 (he was either German, Dutch, or Belgian and his surname has been frequently mis-spelled as Rikins, Reekins, Reckans etc.). He married a widow Catherine Weeks (nee O'Hara) who was born in 1836 in Liverpool. They married in St Alban's Athol Street in 1864. She had a daughter Caroline Weeks from a previous marriage and they went on to have several children (Florence b. 1867, John Richard b. 1869, Annabella b. 1872, Rebecca b. 1874, and Catherine Theresa b. 1876). John is listed on Census returns as a Mariner, Interpreter, and Ship's Watchman. Any information gratefully received.
