Emery Family
I am researching my Emery family. Amelia Emery, born 1872 in Wednesbury, married Frank Arthur Chase in London in 1889. Amelia was a daughter of William Howard Emery and Elizabeth Ball. They married at All Saints, West Bromwich, in 1850. They had 12 children that I have found - Leonard 1851, Sarah 1853, Philip 1854, Betsey 1858, Charlotte (possibly) 1860, David William 1862, Phoebe 1867, James 1868, Mary Ann 1870, Amelia 1872, Clara 1875, Fanny 1877. William Howard died about 1878 and Elizabeth and some of her family are recorded in the 1881 census in Darlaston Road, Back of Scott Arms Inn, Wednesbury. I believe William's father was George. Can anyone produce any further information?

red mail Bridgewater Brown Whitehouse Wednesbury/Darlaston
My 2 x g grandmother was Sarah Bridgwater b Wednesbury 1859. She is listed as married to Harry Brown a boiler maker in Kings Hill Wednesbury in 1891. With two children Harry and Jane. By 1901 she is listed as Sarah Whitehouse living in Holyhead Road Wednesbury with children Harry,Jane,Edward,Maud,Kate,Frederick(my grandfather)and Horace. All childrens birth certs are Browns but they all grew up with the name Whitehouse. Also listed in 1901 as borders are Charlie and Frank Bridgwater...believed to be Sarahs illegitimate sons. Would love to contact anbody with info on Whitehouse, Brown or Bridgwater from Wednesbury, Darlaston or surrounding areas. red mail Emma Smith of Wednesbury
Trying to connect with anyone knowing of an Emma Smith on their tree. Information is that she was born c. 1861 Wednesbury which has tallied with all census after her marriage to George Smith of Wolverhampton. By error on the 1911 census she entered that she had been married 30 years suggesting that she married c. 1881. First child Alfred born Dec qtr1881 in Sheffield. Husband George died in Sheffield c. 1908. She died in Huddersfield not sure of death date. She had several children all born in Sheffield and at least two birth certificates confirm her former name as Smith. One possibility is the daughter of a Jane Hall and William Smith of Wednesbury but unable to confirm. Unable to find on 1871 and 1881 census

red mail Guerry/Guery/Geary/Gery
I have a Esther Guery/Geary who lived in Wednesbury until her death in 1877. I think her husband was John Geary etc who died in 1852. This Guery family may have came from Ireland and been French Huguenot originally. A Pierre Guerry fled fom France to Ireland to South Carolina in the USA. Baird also mentioned "The widow Guerry, with her two sons, her son-in-law, and two small children. Year of departure, 1681. Place of retreat, Baston. Property left, none." So this could have been Pierre and a brother who left France in 1681. If it is the brother stayed behind in Ireland. Does anybody know ?

red mail KENDRICK, William & Sarah
I am looking for information on a William Kendrick (1793 – 1875) and his wife Sarah? (1797 – 1869) who were both born in Wednesbury. Their daughter Mary Ann married a William Winterton in Radford, Nottingham on the 17th November 1834, and on the 1861 Census their daughter Sarah Ann Winterton is listed as being at the home of her grandparents, William & Sarah Kendrick, in West Bromwich. William and Sarah also seem to have had a son William who is listed on the 1851 Census as having been born in Nottingham in 1833, but I have not been able to find the family in the 1841 Census. Any information would be most welcome on this family or its movements from Wednesbury to Nottingham and back.
