red mail Looking for information about the Sharp(e) family of Caistor. Caistor
I need to make a link between Esther and John Sharp both born in 1820 and Charles Sharp who married Elizabeth Sprotberry and was born in 1776. Does anyone have information about the Sharp(e) family of Caistor and their links with the Palmers and the Chants - They were a family of butchers in Horsemarket in the 1800's, and I would like to take the connections back to Esther and John Sharp born 1820, who had numerous children. I have found a Charles Sharp(e) born in Caistor in 1749 who could be one of their sons and would have been the right age to have been the possible father of my Charles Sharp but I haven't got any solid evidence to prove this. Also keen to find the connections with the Chant and Palmer families as two members of the family (both eldest sons) have these names as their middle name which indicates to me that their mothers may have been called this before marriage. Any information gratefully received!
